Growth Director

We are a leading creative and performance agency seeking a seasoned business development director to drive our agency’s new business development. As an ambassador of our work and services, you’ll have previous experience in an agency environment in order to play a critical part in our direct business development activity and lead our strategic approach. 

Working with: 

  • Working directly with the CEO and Brand Director as part of the senior business development team, as well as a business development manager. 
  • Marketing working group to help plan and manage marketing activity across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Client Services team to help onboard and grow new accounts. 
  • Operational and financial services teams for financial reporting. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Lead all outbound new business activity, developing a clear strategic roadmap for success that is linked to our business plan and revenue targets. 
  • Identify and profile potential new clients for retained and project work, ensuring that all departments are serviced. 
  • Work collaboratively with our Brand Director to support where required on intermediary activity and inbound opportunities. 
  • Work with the client services team as part of the pitch process, ensuring a smooth onboarding for new clients and providing growth support for the initial period. 
  • Support on developing further our pitch qualification and implementation process to maximise efficiency and outcomes. 
  • Working in a cross-department group, build out marketing plans and activity that focuses on lead generation. 
  • Provide clear reports on performance and pipeline, attending weekly commercial meetings and quarterly operational board meetings. 
  • Develop, manage and mentor the business development manager and any future hires, focussing on building a positive, results-driven culture. 
  • Ensuring new business CRM activity is kept up to date and accurate. 

You will have: 

  • Proven success in new business development within an agency environment, ideally with a minimum 3 years in a business development role as well as a further 2 years in a different role such as client services. 
  • Strong ability to identify and engage new client opportunities. 
  • Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach. 
  • Strong diplomatic skills and the capacity to build relationships across all levels. 
  • Ambition, creativity, and a keen eye for spotting opportunities. 
  • Exceptional organisational and analytical capabilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Comfort in building and nurturing informal networks to achieve goals. 
  • Collaborative team player. 
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and platforms.
